Loving Others With CompassionPrimjer

Connecting With People
Making a collective impact in our communities
Sometimes it is hard to see how we can make a difference - especially for those in desperate situations. The Bible describes the power that comes from combining our individual efforts together. Each of us has different strengths to offer in various ways within our communities. Karen Akers shares one simple, practical idea for connecting with people in need.
Listen to Karen:
What about you? Are you developing a heart to help others in need? Consider similar food packages or fast food gift cards to hand out. There are so many ways to help fill the broken parts of society by showing that you care. See someone who looks upset or sad? Take a moment to talk and perhaps say a prayer. We are representing Christ as we reach out in these moments. And the encouragement you bring others will bring a smile to your own face, too.
Application Question:
- Karen says, "God has called us to be his hands and feet. If there is a broken part in society, to fill that gap." Where has God called you to be his hands and feet? Has he called you to fill a gap?

O planu čitanja

Compassion is a powerful word. It goes deeper than showing sympathy for a person's pain. Compassion drives you to action. Each of these five devotionals contains a short audio message (1-2 minutes). The guests share about hearing from God, encouraging others, loving unconditionally, and proper boundaries. By the end of the five days, you should have a stronger sense of how to love with compassion.
