Weird Ideas: God and the UniversePrimjer

When you come to Christ, things will start to change. What you believe about yourself, life, God, and his interaction in the world, your view will start to shift. Like a blind man given sight, or someone with 20/200 vision putting on glasses for the first time, life, God, and reality will start to come into greater focus.

There’s a great story in John’s Gospel where Jesus helps a blind man see. It’s not just about a man coming to see, but a man coming to see Jesus clearly. When you read it, notice how even after the man can actually see Jesus, coming to see who he truly is develops. Sometimes God’s reality coming into focus takes time.

CS Lewis once said: “I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.” When we put our trust in Christ, other things will start to look different, too.
