God is For You

Is there any situation too big for God to handle? No!

In today’s verse, Paul's question for us answers itself—If God is for you, who can be against you? No one! While we face daily challenges and opposition, setbacks and disappointments, they are no match for God. Remember who Paul was writing to—many of the believers in Rome were Jewish, meaning they had been living under the thumb of conquerors their entire lives. Even more, Paul's letter arrived about thirteen years before the Roman siege against Jerusalem, when they destroyed the Jewish Temple in 70 A.D. For 1900 years the Jewish people were scattered throughout the world without a home or nation, living as conquered.

Yet, Paul says that believers—you and me—are more than conquerors through Him who loved us (Romans 8:37). Even when it seems like we are overcome, we are still the overcomers. If God is for us, our future is guaranteed—because no enemy or circumstance can withstand the power of our loving Father. His love for you is so deep, so wide, and so endless. God is for you! It's His magnificent love for us that gives us the confidence and courage to always overcome!

● What action step do you need to take?

After you reflect on these questions, bring everything to God in prayer.
