The Holy Spirit given here is the same One who brought about the incarnation of Jesus, through Mary in a spiritual sense. Hers was the prototypical pathway to “glory” being “revealed” to “flesh.”
Just as the Holy Spirit performed that biological miracle in Mary, He is able to work a spiritual one in you and me to bring Jesus alive in and through us. He’s ready to birth divine life within us when we repent and believe in Jesus Christ. And He is able to grow the life of Jesus within us—His character and His traits. Then, His desire is to flow Christ’s power and ministry through us to others! It’s the spiritual experience of incarnation—“Christ in you!”
