While it can be as simple as sharing a smile, encouraging others shines the light of Christ’s love in our dark world. God’s Word tells us that as Christians, we are the “light of the world” and that “gives light to everyone in the house.” As we share encouragement and kindness, we remind others that through Jesus, we can overcome all circumstances.

• Carpe diem! How are you seizing the day? Take a moment to consider how you can intentionally encourage your family today.
• Share a word of encouragement with everyone in your home today. Remind them who they are in God’s eyes and that He has a plan of hope for them.
• Affirm the gifts of each family member. Let them know what you appreciate about their personalities.
• Consider how you can build a habit of praying aloud for each member of your family to show that you want to help carry their burdens and care about their concerns.
