Nehemiah was ready to run to Jerusalem and help his people. But he stopped and turned to God in prayer. Nehemiah starts with giving God the glory he deserves. “O Lord God of heaven, the great and awesome God.” Nehemiah realized how great and awesome God is. He knew if he started with this massive view of God in his prayer life, he would have the confidence to ask God to move in a great and awesome way.
What do you believe about God? Do you believe God is great and awesome? How has he moved in great and awesome ways in your life? No problem is too big for God to handle. No burden is too great for him to bear. He doesn’t have an enemy stronger than himself. Our God is GREAT and AWESOME! Pray with that confidence today.
