Why God's Way Takes LongerPrimjer

Becoming A Tree
It is tough watching the grass sprout up all around you and seeing others bear fruit when you have been faithful in doing what is right, but we must not be short-sighted. We need to try to look at these things the way God sees them.
The tomato plants all around us may be popping out fruit. We might be wondering why it is taking so long. We might be wearing from obeying God with no apparent results, but we can trust that our day will come.
How many times have I watched those around me get what I thought I “deserved” and like a 10-year old thought to myself, “why not me?”
The truth is, as the good father that He is, it is all for our good! God doesn’t give us a bunch of rules and requires patience to make our lives challenging. He instructs us, not for His benefit, but ours!
Rest assured, God is doing work and creating something in you and me that will be around long after the grass has come and gone.

O planu čitanja

The world’s way often goes faster than doing something God’s way. While this can be discouraging at first glance, once you understand the benefits of God’s way taking longer, you can begin truly enjoying the longer path that God has for you.
