Today's reading is another story from David's life where he had the opportunity to kill his enemy Saul. David refuses to take revenge on Saul.  While this makes a great story to read in the pages of Scripture, imagine how hard it must have been to resist the temptation to kill Saul. Abishai, David's fellow soldier, suggested that God was delivering Saul into his hands. It would have been easy for David to believe this and act, but he resisted. Instead David gives grace to his enemy and waits for God to avenge him. Is there someone in your life God wants you to extend grace to regardless of their deservedness?
