Be wise. Learn God’s way.
Being wise doesn’t mean you’re smart or you learned a lot in school. True wisdom comes from following Jesus’ example. When you do, you’ll be like the man from the Bible who built his house on a rock. When you choose God’s way, it’s like building your whole life on something strong and secure.
Being foolish doesn’t mean you’re dumb. Everyone makes foolish mistakes, no matter how good their grades are! Do you know how we make foolish mistakes? Every time we choose to do something God says we shouldn’t, we’ve made a foolish choice. That makes us like the man who built his house on the sand. When we continue to make foolish choices, it’s like we’re building our lives on shifting, shaky sand.
You can build your life on the solid rock when you choose to trust and follow Jesus—that’s the beginning of a life built on wisdom!
Talk It Over: Talk about a foolish choice you’ve made. What is the wise choice God would have wanted you to make? How can you remember to make a wise choice next time?
