May 7 – The Central Message of the Scripture (Christ)

The central message of Scripture is Christ. From the Old Testament to the New Testament, the Bible reveals, points to, and is fulfilled in Jesus Christ. The laws, the prophets, the writings, and the teachings all find their meaning in Him. Scripture is not primarily about events or principles; it is about a person.

This matters because it shapes how the believer reads the Bible. Without seeing Christ as the centre, Scripture can be misunderstood as mere history or moral instruction. But when Christ is recognised as the focus, the Bible becomes a revelation of God’s redemptive plan and purpose.

When Christ is removed from the centre of Scripture, interpretation becomes shallow and misdirected. People focus on rules without understanding grace, or stories without seeing purpose. This leads to incomplete understanding and weak faith. Scripture without Christ at the centre loses its true meaning.

DAILY EXERCISE
Write down how Jesus revealed Himself through the Scriptures.

PRAYER
Father, open my eyes to see Christ in the Scriptures. Help me to understand Your Word in its true context and purpose. I pray for believers, leaders, students, and families across Nigeria that Christ will be revealed clearly through the Word. Lord, we ask that across nations, the revelation of Christ will increase. Strengthen the Church worldwide to centre on Him, and let Your truth transform lives globally.
