May 13 – The Transforming Power of Scripture
The Scripture is not passive; it is active and powerful. It penetrates beyond surface behaviour and addresses the inner man. It discerns thoughts, intentions, and motives, bringing transformation from within.
This matters because true change is internal before it becomes external. The Word of God works at the level of the heart, producing lasting transformation rather than temporary adjustment.
When the transforming power of Scripture is ignored, people settle for outward change. This leads to inconsistency and eventual relapse. Without internal transformation, behaviour cannot remain stable.
DAILY EXERCISE
Read the anchor scripture slowly. Reflect on how the Word is working in your thoughts and attitudes.
PRAYER
Father, let Your Word transform me from within. Change my thoughts, desires, and actions. I pray for families, leaders, students, and believers across Nigeria that they will experience true transformation through Your Word. Lord, we ask that across nations, Your Word will bring lasting change. Strengthen the Church worldwide to live transformed lives.
CONFESSION
God’s Word is working in me. I am transformed daily from within.
