When God Seems Lateનમૂનો

When You Compare Your Story to Others – Day 5
After Lazarus’s resurrection, some believed—but others went to tell the Pharisees what Jesus had done.
“Therefore many of the Jews who had come to visit Mary, and had seen what Jesus did, believed in him. But some of them went to the Pharisees and told them what Jesus had done.”
(John 11:45–46, NIV)
The same miracle produced different reactions. Likewise, when God moves, not everyone understands—and often, neither do we. We see others receiving answers faster and ask, “What about me, Lord?”
Peter did the same. When Jesus revealed his future, Peter looked at John and asked:
“Lord, what about him?” Jesus answered, “If I want him to remain alive until I return, what is that to you? You must follow me.”
(John 21:21–22, NIV)
Each story has its own rhythm. Comparing yourself to others only steals your joy and gratitude. Jonah also got angry because God was merciful to Nineveh (Jonah 4). But God taught him that His mercy is greater than our expectations.
In daily life, comparing yourself is like running while looking sideways—you lose focus and stumble. God is training you in a unique lane.
Talk with God and open your heart:
Father, forgive me for focusing on what You’re doing in others and forgetting what You’re doing in me. I want to follow You with a focused and grateful heart. Amen.
Think about this:
• What comparisons are stealing your peace and gratitude?
• Can you trust that God’s timing for you is just as perfect as it was for others?
Coming up on Day 6: When Everything Seems Lost
Tomorrow we’ll see that even when it looks like the end, God always has the final word.
About this Plan

Sometimes we pray, trust, and wait… but God seems to remain silent. However, His silence is not absence. This plan, based on the story of Lazarus and other passages in Scripture, will show you that God is never late—His delays are part of His purpose. Learn to recognize His voice in the silence, His hand in the waiting, and His power in the process.
