Overcoming Fear: ​​A 5-Day Journey to Freedom, Faith, and the Father’s Embraceનમૂનો

Thought for the Day: “God did not give you the spirit of fear. He gave you love, power, and a sound mind.”

You are more than equipped for what is to come because when God gave you life, He crowned you with His glory and breathed three very distinct and life-changing qualities into you—Love, Power, and a Sound Mind. These are the jewels in your crown that will continuously uphold and protect you from succumbing to the attacks of the enemy. Lead with love (God’s standard of love), operate with power (The Blood of Jesus), and maintain a sound mind (The Holy Spirit leading and guiding you).

The key to successfully maneuvering through this journey called life is to never forget whose you are and the crown that you were called to wear.

When we forget our identity (our crown), we give the enemy the opportunity to plant various seeds of fear in our lives such as doubt, worry, worthlessness, shame, hurt, insecurity, low self-esteem, a hardened-heart, pridefulness, etc. When you don't know who and whose you are, you allow others to dictate and determine who you are, what you are able to have, and what you are capable of becoming. Do not give fear the chance to compromise your identity nor your destiny.

Here are a few truths to hold on to:

Truth #1: You are a child of God (John 1:12).

Truth #2: You are called to have an abundant life (John 10:10).

Truth #3: You are capable of being all that God has created you to be (Philippians 4:13).

Truth #4: You have Love - God is love (1 John 4:7-12). He is the purest love that you will ever find and this love will never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:8).

Truth #5: You have Power - found in the mighty name and blood of Jesus. Jesus is the redeeming power that conquers all and the same power that resides in Him, lives in you (Romans 8:11).

Truth #6: You have a Sound Mind - the Holy Spirit living within you will guide and comfort you with a peace that surpasses all understanding (John 14:26, Philippians 4:6-7).

You maintain a sound mind by placing your trust in God and becoming intentional about keeping your mind on Him and His word (Isaiah 26:3). When fear attempts to rise up, always remember that you are crowned with the assurance of God—this is where your confidence resides. God has given you divine authority and dominion. Love, Power, & a Sound Mind ALL belong to you. Hold tightly to your crown and never let anyone remove nor shift it.

• I control my thoughts, my thoughts do not control me, and I choose to submit them into the obedience of Christ.
• My thoughts, decisions, and actions are Holy-Spirit led - not led by fear.
• I will hold my crown high and walk in the fullness of the authority given to me by God.
