30 Days With the Psalmsનમૂનો

Singing as a powerful expression of praise
“I will be glad and exult in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High” (Psalm 9:2 ESV).
In this Psalm, we see how the poet expresses his gladness and joy by singing praise to God’s name. And he is not the only one. In the Bible, but also throughout history, believers have often used songs to express their feelings and to praise God. Like Psalm 33:3 (ESV) urges us: “Sing to Him a new song; play skillfully on the strings, with loud shouts.” And later on in the Bible, believers are called to sing “psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God” (e.g. Colossians 3:16 ESV). In most churches, singing is an important part of the services. But also, outside church services, Christian music can be very powerful.
Did you already experience how a good song can help you to find words for your feelings and to express your thankfulness, praise, or sorrows? Let today’s verse encourage you to sing praises to God, “for it is pleasant, and a song of praise is fitting” (Psalm 147:1 ESV).
