Day 22: God Will Provide For You

Devotion
What do you need today? Do you know that Jehovah Jireh can provide? Today’s scripture assures us that He will supply every need according to His riches in Christ Jesus.

As a native New Orleanian, when Hurricane Katrina struck twenty years ago, I lost my home, belongings, and everything I owned—and so did every member of my immediate family. With no relatives to lean on for help, I turned fully to God, trusting Him to make a way. Each day, He showed up: strangers offered financial help, colleagues provided housing, friends sent care packages, and we never went without.

I remember returning with my family to assess my mother’s flood-damaged home. Because of the long-standing water, the doors were jammed shut. After several failed attempts to open them, a man appeared out of nowhere. He looked as strong as a professional athlete, yet carried himself with such kindness. Without hesitation, he ripped the door off its hinges, giving us access. In that moment, I realized God is an on-time God who provides not only for financial needs but for every situation in life. I know without a doubt that man was sent by Him.

Just as God provided for us during Hurricane Katrina, He will also provide for you today. Whatever you are lacking, trust Jehovah Jireh—your faithful Provider—to meet your needs.

Abba Father,

Thank You for being my Jehovah Jireh. You are the One who supplies all my needs. I trust and know that I can depend on You no matter what I am facing today. Because of this, I bring my need of [state your need] and ask that You provide for me. I pray for Your provision in every area of my life and declare that no need will go unmet. It is in Jesus Christ’s name, I pray. Amen.
