4 - LORD'S PRAYER - the Servant's Petitionsનમૂનો

03 – The Bread of Life
“Give us today our daily bread.” (Matthew 6:11, NIV)
Reflecting on what Moses said—about manna as food for the body and God’s Word as nourishment for the spirit—we may ask: What kind of bread is Jesus talking about here? What bread is this?
Bread begins as a living seed of wheat. Once it “dies,” it is broken, crushed, and ground into flour. Then it is mixed with water, salt, and yeast, kneaded, and left to rise. Finally, the dough is placed in the heat of the oven and emerges as bread, ready to be eaten—its life transferred into the lives of those who consume it.
In the same way, the life of God became fully accessible to us in His Son. Jesus is the divine seed who was judged, condemned, and crucified. From death, He rose again and became the Living Bread, given by God for us. After His resurrection, He became accessible to people everywhere, through His Spirit. And so, anyone who hungers for spiritual bread and longs for the life that comes from God can find it in Him—and be truly satisfied.
“Oh Father, give us our daily bread!” In other words: “Oh Father, let the life that is in Your Son, Jesus, become life in me—today!”
This longing, expressed as a request in the Lord’s Prayer, finds its answer in Jesus Himself, who declared:
“I am the bread of life. … I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.” (John 6:48, 51, NIV)
About this Plan

We have already reflected on how we should pray and we have already talked about the Lord's demands. Now, let’s talk about the Servant’s Petitions. The first part of the Lord’s Prayer focuses on the Lord God. In the second part, beginning with "give us this day our daily bread," the prayer takes a turn and begins to address topics such as hunger, evil, temptation, and other issues. Shall we talk about that? Edilaney, from Brazil!!!
