En ces temps de troubles et d’agitation, nous avons plus que jamais besoin d’apprendre à vivre avec un sentiment impérieux de paix et de confiance, pour faire face à l'avenir. Mais cela ne vient pas tout seul sous couvert que nous sommes chrétiens. Cela provient de la compréhension que Dieu nous a fait esprit, âme et corps, et que ces trois aspects nous aident à demeurer en communion avec Lui.

Words, words, words, power-filled words! Words that build or words that tear down. Words that give life or words that bring death. The choice is ours. Let’s evaluate the significant power that is held in our words.

Each of us is sure to suffer at some point in our lives. As a counselor, I’ve seen sufferers transformed. I’ve seen those once debilitated by trauma learn to suffer well. In this brief devotional, I pray that you will realize that your story is not over. You may experience suffering, but you can suffer well. You can ask, What’s next? instead of getting stuck asking, Why? You can become resilient.

Emotions—love them or hate them—we’ve all got them. And we’ve all got to figure out what to do with them. But wait. Can we do anything about emotions? Can we learn how to identify, express, experience—and yes, sometimes wrangle—our feelings in order to live a vibrant, healthy life for Jesus?
