Falling in Love Again With Your Lord

PÄIVÄ 1 / 10

David was in a desert. Where are you? What is going on in your walk with the Lord? Have you ever felt an emptiness-a longing for a deeper relationship with the Lord and wondered, "Is this all there is?" Do you want to have a love relationship with the Lord that produces both holiness and joy? A love that fully satisfies? Read Psalm 139:23-24, and if you can, read all of Psalm 139. You will be very blessed if you do. Receive the truths in this psalm as if they were spoken directly to you, because they are. Now pray Psalm 139:23-24. Ask God to do what you are unable to do. Allow Him to reveal what you are clinging to. Don't be surprised if the Lord brings tests, incidents, and trials to help raise up what lies hidden beneath the surface of your heart. Know that you have nothing to fear. He loves you. "There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love" (1 John 4:18 ESV). Confess any sin He reveals, knowing that God's Word tells us, "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness" (I John 1:9 ESV). Confess it. Let it go. Leave. We need to leave everything to follow the Lord. We can't hold on to sin or our idols and love God at the same time. Don't be discouraged! You won't be perfect until heaven. This is a process. Continue to pray Psalm 139:23-24 throughout this study. God rewards those who earnestly seek Him. That is a promise!
