So, what can we learn from his way of life? • He put God first and was zealous for God to be the only one worshiped. • He did what was right in the eyes of God. • He trusted in the Lord. "Trust" in Hebrew ( בָּטַח bâṭach, baw-takh') meaning to hide (to go quickly) for refuge, to trust, be confident or sure:—be bold (confident, secure, sure), put confidence, (make to) hope, to lay down securely. • He held fast to the Lord. The word "to hold fast" in the Hebrew ( דָּבַק dâbaq, daw-bak') means to cling or adhere; figuratively, to catch by pursuit:—abide fast, cleave (fast together), follow close (hard after), be joined (together), keep (fast), overtake, pursue hard, stick, take. • The Lord was with or toward him and caused him to prosper by giving him wisdom, prudence, skill, and understanding. Question: What does it look like for you to "cling" to the Lord during this season in which you find yourself? Prayer: Pray for God to reveal how faithful and worthy of trust He is, and pray for the ability to abide in His love and know His presence continually.
