After seeing all of these reasons for affliction in scripture, do you see that there is a good chance your trial is not chastisement, but rather a wonderful opportunity God has allowed to teach you valuable lessons? Can you see how affliction demonstrates God’s loving Hand?  Can you see His character shining through? Remember, He loves us with an everlasting love and His lovingkindness is ever-present, especially through a trial. Regardless of the reason for any affliction, we can rest in God's promises, His faithfulness, His character, and His provision as He leads us through every trial.
