# AN UNFAMILIAR GOD God may come to you in a way you don't recognise. Do you have a good understanding of who God is? In your understanding, is God big enough to overcome the next challenges you will face? With new battles comes a need for a fresh revelation of who God is. In reading the Bible it would be fair to say that Joshua probably had a good understanding of God. Joshua had seen Him work in many ways, he knew of how God had spoken to Abraham and Moses, he knew about the deliverance out of Egypt and the provision in the wilderness - but what Joshua now faced was a new challenge: the fortified city of Jericho. He needed a new understanding of God to ENTER IN to the life God had promised him. Our challenges begin and end with the size of our God. How we see God determines how we approach any obstacles in our life. To fully ENTER IN to the life God promised has you, you need a greater understanding of God. Even if we have followed Jesus for decades, it's still possible for Him to be unfamiliar to us - this happened for many of His followers after He rose from dead, because their perspective of God was limited. Today, let's ask God to enlarge our perspective and broaden our understanding of who He is and what He can do. Let's open our heart in worship and lift our faith to believe that God is big enough to conquer all that comes against us. QUESTIONS TO CONSIDER: What is your current understanding of God's character and power? What new challenges are you facing that require a fresh revelation of God? Do you believe God is big enough to overcome your challenges? PRAY: God I want to recognise You in my life. Help me to understand more of who You are and increase my faith to believe that You are bigger than any challenges that come my way.
