Daily Reflection: In today’s culture, it is not difficult to find examples of those who twist the word of God to suit their agenda. This type of hypocrisy and use of the Bible to legalistically rationalize one’s purpose was also prevalent in Jesus’ time. Reading the word of God as one whole story, and taking everything into the overall context of God’s plan for his family will help us see the truth. Daily Demonstration: As a follower of the Lord, we need to demonstrate our loyalty to King Jesus through obedience to his word. As you read the Bible today, pray that the Holy Spirit would help you understand his word and obey in its overall context. This could very well be a great topic of conversation during tonight’s Sabbath meal with your family.
