“A good person leaves an inheritance..." Proverbs 13:22 NASB
BUSINESS BIBLE
You may have heard to give it all away. The Bible records Solomon, the wisest and wealthiest person on earth, saying, “A good person leaves an inheritance to their children’s children.” Just as his father, David, did. Solomon also acknowledges that “an inheritance gained in a hurry at the beginning will not be blessed in the end.” There is a process to leave an inheritance that is stewarded and not squandered.
David says, “Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, who greatly delights in His commandments. His descendants will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed. Wealth and riches are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever.” David leaves more than $6 billion USD in gold to his son Solomon with detailed instructions for his estate. Solomon, with the aid of wise advisors and financial counselors, invests the inheritance, builds the Temple, a palace, twenty cities, trades internationally, and ushers in a Golden Age of peace and prosperity.
Don’t give it all away. Leave an inheritance with instructions.
PRAY
Lord, help me leave an inheritance and contribute to God’s economy.
