GRIT: Intense FellowshipNäide

Seeing Work as Worship
Colossians 3:23-24 - "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ." (ESV)
Work can feel mundane. Whether you're fixing engines, managing people, teaching students, or staying home with children, it can seem disconnected from faith. However, Colossians reframes that mindset: work is worship when done for God.
God values diligence, integrity, and excellence. He's not only concerned with church service or Bible study. He's honored when you give your best in the office, at the job site, or in the home—not for applause, but as an offering to Him.
This means your attitude matters. Your treatment of coworkers, response to stress, and handling of responsibility reflect your faith. Every task becomes an opportunity to glorify God.
Even in hard seasons—when work is thankless, exhausting, or discouraging—God sees your effort. Your labor is not in vain when it's done for Him.
See your job as a mission field. Your faithfulness speaks. Your integrity influences. Your joy in the mundane honors God.
Challenge:
Tomorrow at work, pause before starting your day. Commit your work to God and ask Him to help you reflect His character.
Prayer:
Lord, help me see my work through Your eyes. Let my efforts be done with excellence and integrity, as an act of worship. Use my job to bring You glory. Amen.
