DAY 21 OF 30

Day 21: Leading Your Family Spiritually

Joshua 24:15 - "And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve... But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." (ESV)

Every family follows someone. The question isn't whether your home has a spiritual direction—it's who sets it. Joshua's bold declaration still echoes today: "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."

Leading spiritually doesn't mean having all the answers. It means taking initiative, setting the tone, and pointing your family to Jesus in your words and lifestyle. Spiritual leadership is less about perfection and more about pursuit.

Start by being present. Pray with your spouse. Open the Bible with your kids. Make worship and church a priority, not just an option. Your consistency speaks louder than any lecture.

You can be the first, even if you didn't grow up with a godly example. You can start a legacy of faith that ripples through generations. Spiritual leadership doesn't require being a theologian. It requires humility, intentionality, and dependence on God.

You won't do it perfectly. But your presence, prayers, and example will make an eternal difference.

Challenge:

Pick one way to lead your family spiritually this week—prayer time, Scripture reading, or attending worship together. Be consistent.

Prayer:

Father, help me lead my family with courage and faith. Show me how to point them to You in everyday life. Strengthen me to be the spiritual foundation my home needs. Amen.
