GRIT: Intense FellowshipNäide

Navigating Success and Ambition
Matthew 6:33 - "But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you." (ESV)
Ambition isn't wrong. God created us to work, build, and lead. But when success becomes the goal instead of a byproduct of obedience, it leads to burnout, pride, and spiritual drift.
Jesus reframes our priorities: seek first God's kingdom. That means your success should flow from faithfulness, not vice versa. When you place God at the center, everything else finds its proper place.
You don't have to suppress your ambition. Just surrender it. Ask God to shape, use, and keep it anchored in His will. When success comes, celebrate it humbly; when it doesn't, remain faithful. Your worth isn't measured by achievements but by identity in Christ.
Ambition with the wrong motives corrupts. But ambition surrendered to God expands His kingdom and brings Him glory. The key is keeping your eyes on Him—before the promotion, during the climb, and after the win.
Let God define success for your life. It may not look like the world's version, but it will be deeply satisfying and eternally significant.
Challenge:
Write down one area where ambition has overshadowed your pursuit of God. Ask Him to realign your heart.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for the drive and gifts You've given me. Help me to seek You above success. Align my ambition with Your purpose and keep my heart anchored in You. Amen.
