Raising Kingdom-Minded Children in a Broken World - 30-Day Devotional

DAY 15 OF 30

Day 15 – Teaching Identity in Christ

Scripture: “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are.” – 1 John 3:1 (NIV)

Reflection

The world will try to tell our children who they are. Culture defines worth by looks, achievements, popularity, or possessions. But God defines identity differently. He calls our children His own, deeply loved and chosen. When our kids understand their true identity in Christ, they are less likely to be shaken by what others say.

As parents, we get to remind them daily who they are. Our words can reinforce the truth that they are loved, valuable, and created with purpose. Helping our children build their identity on Christ is one of the greatest protections we can give them against the pressures of this world.

Biblical Affirmation for Your Children

“My children know that they are loved, chosen, and called children of God.”

Prayer

Lord, help me remind my children that their true identity is found in You. May they stand firm in the knowledge that they are loved, valued, and chosen. Protect their hearts from lies and help them walk confidently in who You created them to be. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Action Step for Parents

Tell your child one truth about their identity in Christ today. Speak it out loud and encourage them to repeat it after you.
