Day 12: God Will Watch Over You

Scripture
“The Lord will keep you from all harm—He will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going, both now and forevermore.” – Psalm 121:7–8 NIV

Affirmation
God will always watch over me.

Devotion
I have a wonderful mother who checks on me every day, no matter where I am or how old I get. Her love is evident in her calls and concern, whether I’m traveling or simply running errands. Her care is constant, a beautiful reminder of her love.

But as much as my mother does her best, her care cannot compare to the way God watches over us. As a human being, she has limits—she gets tired, distracted, or busy. God, however, is limitless. He never tires, never looks away, and never forgets. His Word assures us that He watches over our lives continually.

Psalm 121:4 tells us that “He who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.” And in Isaiah 49:14–16, God reminds us that even if a mother could forget her own child, He will never forget us: “See, I have engraved you on the palms of My hands.” What a powerful promise! Your name is etched in His hand, and His watchful care over you is eternal.

Prayer
Abba Father,

I come before You to worship and praise Your holy name. Even when I feel forgotten or forsaken, Your Word assures me that You will never leave nor abandon me. Lord, I need You now more than ever. Show up in my life today as a reminder that You are always with me. As I move forward on this day, I declare You as my Lord and Savior. Help me to put You first and walk in Your will and purpose for my life. It is in Jesus Christ’s name, I pray. Amen.
