Rooted: 30 Days to Strengthen Your Faith Through StruggleNäide

WEEK 2: Planting Truth in Hard Soil
Focus: Replacing lies with the truth of God’s Word to re-root our identity.
Day 9: You Are a New Creation
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come." 2 Corinthians 5:17
One of the enemy's favorite weapons is to accuse us and remind us of our past. He’ll call you by your failures, replay your regrets, and try to keep you stuck in the past. He wants to keep you bound to a version of yourself that no longer exists.
But when you gave your life to Christ, something miraculous happened: the old you died.
You may still carry the memories. You may still see the scars. But they no longer define you.
You are not your mistakes. You are not your trauma. You are not your struggle.
You are redeemed.
In Christ, we are made brand new. Not halfway fixed, but transformed from the inside out. We have new spiritual DNA - and one day in glory we will have new DNA in our bodies too! How exciting!
This new identity isn’t just a biblical truth; it’s a daily invitation to live differently. To respond from your new being rather than from old wounding. It's an invitation to live in the freedom of Christ!
It doesn’t mean the struggle disappears. But it means you face the struggle from a new position - rooted in Christ, secure in who you are, and empowered by the Holy Spirit.
Reflection Questions:
- What part of your old identity are you still carrying?
- How can you embrace your new identity today?
- What truth from this verse can you declare over yourself this week?

About this Plan

We often view struggle as a bad thing to be avoided. Who wants pain, right? But what if it's in the struggle that God does some of his best refining work? What if it's in the struggle we are strengthened for the journey ahead? Jesus told us we would have trials - but we can take heart because we never walk the valley's alone. Join me for 30 days as we travel through scripture and strengthen our faith together in the face of struggle.
