Rooted: 30 Days to Strengthen Your Faith Through StruggleNäide

WEEK 2: Planting Truth in Hard Soil
Focus: Replacing lies with the truth of God’s Word to re-root our identity.
Day 14: Rooted in the Unchanging Word
"Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock... it did not fall, because it had been founded on the rock." Matthew 7:24-25
Storms are guaranteed.
Jesus never promised walking with him would come with ease. On the contrary. He promised we would face trials. Persecution. Tough times.
And while he didn't promise clear skies and easy living - He did promise stability in the storm for those who build their lives on His Word.
Too often, we build on shifting sand. The approval of others, our own emotions, or the security of things that can be taken from us. And when the wind picks up, we find ourselves crumbling. Sometimes, even asking "God, where are you?"
Jesus gave us the recipe on how to stand firm in the storm. To hear His words, and do them.
God’s Word is THE firm foundation.
When you anchor your identity in what He says, not what you feel or fear, you become unshakable. Not because you’re strong, but because your footing is.
To be rooted in the Word means to meditate on it, trust it, obey it - even when it doesn’t make sense. Even when the storm is loud.
Jesus is the Word made flesh, and every promise He gives is true and can be counted on. You don’t have to fear the next storm when you know who’s holding your foundation.
Reflection Questions:
- What foundations in your life have felt shaky?
- How can you build your identity on God’s Word?
- What Scripture will you stand on this week when storms arise?

About this Plan

We often view struggle as a bad thing to be avoided. Who wants pain, right? But what if it's in the struggle that God does some of his best refining work? What if it's in the struggle we are strengthened for the journey ahead? Jesus told us we would have trials - but we can take heart because we never walk the valley's alone. Join me for 30 days as we travel through scripture and strengthen our faith together in the face of struggle.
