Biblical Wisdom for Making Life’s DecisionsNäide

The Humility to Obey God’s Voice
All of Israel, except for Judea, revolted and rejected Rehoboam's rule. He planned to mobilize an army to forcefully regain his kingdom. God sent a prophet, Shemaiah, to tell him not to engage in the battle. This time, Rehoboam listened, and disaster was averted.
Wisdom for today:
Pride leads to destruction; humility leads to God’s protection. Rehoboam's best decision was to submit to God's Word, even when it meant surrendering control. Like him, at critical junctures of our lives, we must ask ourselves: Do I insist on my way or am I willing to obey God, even when it's hard? True wisdom is not just about seeking God's input; it's about obeying what He says and letting go of our ego.
Rehoboam’s story reminds us that every decision matters, whether in leadership, relationships, or daily life. Pause before deciding, seek Godly counsel, and obey God’s voice. When we do, we walk in wisdom.
Prayer:
Lord, break my stubbornness and soften my heart to Your voice. When Your direction contradicts my plans, help me to trust and obey. May humility, not ego and pride, guide my steps. Amen.
