NearnessNäide

Have you ever been in a situation where you felt invisible? Like no one could hear you or cared about what you had to say?
It’s awful to feel as though you don’t exist!
In those moments, Jesus hears you and sees you. He knows what it’s like to feel alone and invisible— as He hung on the cross, all His friends and followers had abandoned Him. He was alone on this earth, but the Father was near as He gave up His life for those He loves.
Jesus is near to us in every moment of every day. Remember this truth from today’s Psalm: as we wait patiently for the Lord, He inclines His ear and hears our cry.
And, He doesn’t do it begrudgingly—Jesus longs to be near to us. This is in fact why He died— so that sin would no longer separate us from a loving, intimate, eternal relationship with God.
Today, ponder this: Where do you feel lonely? Pray to God through these things and ask for His comfort.
