A Year in Luke/ActsNäide

Paul and Barnabas continued to preach to the people, and in the following week “almost the entire city turned out to hear them preach the word of the Lord." (v44) Many heard and believed, but some of the Jews were jealous and began to slander the men. It is then that Paul and Barnabas speak out against those Jews, saying “Since you have rejected it and judged yourselves unworthy of eternal life, we will offer it to the Gentiles." (v46) They tell the people that the gift of the gospel is for Jews and Gentiles alike. It is not exclusive. On the cross, Jesus opened his arms and offered all an invitation to come home.
Take time to worship and thank God for sending His son Jesus, in whom all can be made right.
