God's Redemption Story (1 Kings - Ezra)Näide

Solomon - 1/5
There is a stark difference between God’s idea of wisdom and the world’s. Aristotle once said, “Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom.” Yet Solomon, known both during his time and today as one of the wisest men to ever live, held a very different view. In Proverbs 9:10 (ESV), Solomon says, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.”
When I compare the track record of the world and the track record of God, the choice seems obvious where true wisdom lies. The question remains then, am I seeking the Lord or myself? God’s desires or my desires? God’s plan for my life or my own?
