Holy Week: A Journey From Jesus’ Death to ResurrectionNäide

Palm Sunday: Triumphal Entry
Palm Sunday is such a stark contrast to Good Friday, isn’t it? Imagine yourself as one of the people standing on the dusty road, watching Jesus ride by on a donkey as you shout, “Hosanna! Hosanna!” You feel a swell of excitement as it sinks in that this is who you and your people have been waiting for to save and deliver them.
Have you ever wondered what Jesus may have been thinking? He’s being celebrated as King, but He knows what the week holds and what He has to do. He knows the kind of King He is.
Prayer: Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord. Jesus, You are blessed. Forgive me when I don’t understand the kind of King You are, when I don’t understand Your ways. I celebrate who You are and ask the Holy Spirit to reveal more of You to me through Your Word. Guide me as I study.
About this Plan

You are beginning a journey through the most important week in history. Come along with us and recline with Jesus at the Passover table, linger in the silence of Holy Saturday, and experience the joy of Jesus’ Resurrection. Each day, we’ll look at what the gospels say about the events of Holy Week and walk through a simple prayer. We’ll follow the S.O.A.P. study method: Scripture, Observation, Application, and Prayer.
