Power Read The Bible In 60 Days With Jeff AndersonMuestra

Day 30
PSALM 119 IS A TREASURE
[Scheduled Reading: Psalm 116-150]
Be sure to take note of Psalm 119 (You won’t miss it - Ha!).
It’s the longest Psalm, and the longest chapter in the Bible. Would you believe that it has more verses (176) than 21 of the books of the Bible?! No kidding.
This psalm is organized around 22 stanzas, one for each letter of the Hebrew alphabet.
Each verse contains a word or phrase that refers to God’s Word: i.e. “laws”, “commandments”, “statutes”, “ways”, “testimonies”, “precepts”, etc.
One season, I was feeling flat in my Bible engagement and seeking greater traction in my Bible reading. It was before I did my first power-read through scriptures.
I found great encouragement and inspiration from this chapter, taking the time to highlight every single mention of reference to God’s Word.
This is definitely a chapter to return to after you complete the 60-day Bible read, to spend time reading slowly and deeply.
Psalm 119 is a treasure.
