Power Read The Bible In 60 Days With Jeff AndersonMuestra

Day 34
HITTING THE WALL
[Schedule Reading: Isaiah 10-31]
Marathon runners (which I am not) know about hitting "the wall.”
The wall is that point in the run when your body cramps up, your legs feel like jelly, and your head teases you with ideas like pulling to the edge of the cement for a nap.
I’m told the familiar place to find the wall is around mile 20, six miles short of finish. It’s past the midpoint, but still a ways to go.
For 60-day Bible readers, you could call the Major Prophets “the wall.”
For the next ten days, we’ll be slogging through five books. Really, it’s the big three - Isaiah, Jeremiah and Ezekiel - that are the most difficult for me, because they’re really long.
These books are fascinating and there’s no need to fear them. But for power reading, it is challenging.
If this is your first fast paced Bible read, I don’t want you to hit the wall. Do whatever you need to get through it. Because when you come out of it, you’ll be on the homestretch.
The minor prophets will be sprints… and you’ll be shocked how quickly we’ll breeze through the New Testament.
Read along, friends. Don’t slow down.
