Sacrifice is the discipline in which we forsake the security of meeting our own needs and abandon ourselves to trust in God. It’s stepping out in faith to the fullest. And it changes everything. Because of the cross, and because of who Jesus is, this practice is truly central to Christian faith. Today, our lesson will come in the form of a story. Reflect on what sacrifices you’ve made. Pray about what sacrifice He would have you make. And ultimately, thank Him for the ultimate sacrifice He made for you.
