It was unbelievable! When Mary showed up and told the disciples that they had seen Jesus alive, it was unbelievable. Most of Jesus’ disciples didn’t even believe the good report, even though Jesus had predicted this moment would come.
Peter and John ran to the tomb to verify it for themselves. They didn’t see Jesus at this point, but they did see the empty tomb. It was later that Jesus appeared to His disciples and many more after that.
What a glorious day this was! Sorrow turned to joy! Doubt replaced by belief! All of Christianity hinges on this one fateful day. The day Jesus proved once and for all that He truly is the Son of God. You can rest assured that your faith is not based on a myth, but rather on an empty tomb. He is Alive!
