NEXT STEPS: BaptismMuestra

WHY GET BAPTIZED?
We hinted a little bit about this yesterday, but one reason to get baptized is because it can be a defining moment in your life and walk with Christ. It becomes the day you're able to look back on and say, "God began to change my heart and life that day in a new way because I took a step of faith."
It's funny how stepping out of our comfort zones in obedience often tends to open up new levels for God to bless us in our lives.
We all have stakes in the ground of our history where we remember what happened based off of an event, a particular day, or even a person. In following Jesus, we've found it's especially helpful in hard times to be able to look back at days like those and remember the faithfulness of God. We say this often: Following Jesus doesn't automatically make your life easier. If anything, it's the opposite.
The enemy of your soul was quite content with your life before you met Jesus: hopeless, self-destructive, and chaotic. Once you begin to have your life changed and your addictions broken, that's when the enemy often kicks it into high gear and uses manipulation and mind games to distract you from God's plans. In those times, look back to days like your baptism and remember: God's gotten you this far and He'll take you the rest of the way too.
Acerca de este Plan

The Bible clearly teaches that baptism is the first step of obedience after making a commitment to Jesus Christ. Making a decision to follow Jesus when no one is looking is significant, but there's something powerful about publicly declaring, in front of family and friends, that you've given your life to Christ. This Bible plan will walk us through what the Bible says about baptism as a next step for a believer!
