Live in Harmony

Psalm 133:1

How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!

David wrote this Psalm and described how wonderful and nice it is to live together in unity and harmony. He described the beauty of loving and caring for one another. 

Yet, it is not always easy to live in all-the-time harmony with others, is it? People with different characters and habits can easily have some disagreement. This is why being understanding and being considerate to one another is very crucial.

It is normal to have differences with your sibling. Maybe you prefer sleeping with no light while your sibling prefers having the light on. This is when you can show your maturity and understanding of this issue. Maybe you can ask your parents to purchase an eye mask for you to wear while sleeping thus your sibling still can have the light for her sleep. This way you can sleep peacefully and live in harmony with your sibling.

Loving one another in harmony and getting along with others is not only God’s command, but it is the best and healthiest way for you to live wherever you are!

Prayer

Dear God, help me to get along well with the people around me so that they can see Your love in me. Amen.
