What do you think it means to be a peacemaker? It might be helpful to ask, what’s the opposite of a peacemaker? Maybe an instigator or an agitator? Which do you think you tend towards?
To be honest, it’s usually easier to fight, rebel, and add fuel to the fire than to take the high road and be a peacemaker, especially when emotions are elevated. Do you think our world today needs more agitators or peacemakers?
Look up historical peacemakers and read a little bit about their philosophies and why they chose to promote peace. How can you be a peacemaker in your world today?
