Esther, Mordecai and all Jews pray and fast. Queen Esther invites the King and Haman to a feast. When the King learns that Mordecai had foiled an assassination attempt, he orders Haman to honor Mordecai. Haman is then hanged on his own gallows.
Note Esther 5:14: Not a gallows but a timber stake 85 feet or 25 meters high.
