ENOUGH: KNOCK

“But you, God, see the trouble of the afflicted. You consider their grief and take it in hand. The victims commit themselves to you; you are the helper of the fatherless." (Psalm 10:14)

I stand at the door and knock

I stand outside

the barred church doors

hammering with my fists

while around me

the world dies.

I don’t want to be let in,

but pray 

for those inside

to come out

and join the fight.
