It’s About God: The “Who” Precedes The “What”Sample

" ### God’s will never lacks God’s provision The God of “God’s will” is compassionate and caring, and He is timeless and self-existent. He is also the God who provides. God’s will never lacks God’s provision. As God spoke to Moses in the burning bush, He revealed Himself and then revealed His intent to provide for His people. And when He led His people out of bondage in Egypt, they did not go empty-handed. Do you realize when this “plundering” took place? It happened as the sun was rising the morning after the first Passover, when every firstborn of every Egyptian household lay dead. Amazingly, the Israelites’ request was not met with anger or derision by the Egyptians, but with favor . Much is said today about the “favor” of God. But today’s flavor of favor is often fleshly greed. How can you tell the difference between a request made for personal gain and one made for the glory of God? It’s simple. What is the ultimate end of that request? Is it self-satisfaction or is it worship? The plundering of the Egyptians allowed the Israelites to leave their lives of slavery and freely worship God. They meant to worship their God on a journey no matter how far He led them. Moses called their exodus a “three-day journey” to worship the Lord. That idiom meant “a major trip with formal consequences”, and Pharaoh knew it. He knew they were asking to leave to go and worship their God. Their life was going to improve, but that was not the goal. Worshipping God is the only goal that keeps you in the game when the desert is hot and the food is scarce. Even though they were slaves in Egypt, the Israelites would leave with great riches because the God of "God’s will" provides. We’ve already said that God’s will is accompanied by God’s power. Here’s another promise you can take to the bank: God’s will never lacks God’s supply . He promised to supply all that the Israelites would need for their journey, and He did. The Bible uses the Hebrew word for “plunder”. You get plunder after you have won a war. But the Israelites didn’t wage battle with the Egyptians. God fought the battle on the Israelites' behalf and they received the plunder. God provided for them and He will provide for you.
