You Are Gifted: Teaching I saw a bumper sticker a while ago that got me smiling. It read, “If you can read this, thank a teacher.” It also got me thinking about how the ability to teach is a precious gift from God. The Bible says we have different gifts according to the grace given us. If a person has the gift of teaching, “let him teach” (Romans 12:6,7). If you have the ability to convey knowledge, manage people, and communicate--and also have the stamina to put up with the whole process--that’s a gift. Training young people is exhausting work, but it’s crucially important. Christian teachers are instruments of God in growing his kingdom here on earth. Let’s find and encourage all of God’s people who are gifted to teach, and let the children come to him.
