 <div class="p">1And God spoke all these words:</div><div class="b"></div><div class="pi3"> 2&#8220;I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.</div><div class="li1"> 3&#8220;You shall have no other gods before#20:3 Or besides me.</div><div class="li1"> 4&#8220;You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 5You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, 6but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.</div><div class="li1"> 7&#8220;You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name.</div><div class="li1"> 8&#8220;Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. 9Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns. 11For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.</div><div class="li1"> 12&#8220;Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.</div><div class="li1"> 13&#8220;You shall not murder.</div><div class="li1"> 14&#8220;You shall not commit adultery.</div><div class="li1"> 15&#8220;You shall not steal.</div><div class="li1"> 16&#8220;You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.</div><div class="li1"> 17&#8220;You shall not covet your neighbor&#8217;s house. I am the Lord your God.</div><div class="p"> 4&#8220;&#8198;&#8216;Do not turn to idols or make metal gods for yourselves. I am the Lord your God.</div><div class="p"> 5&#8220;&#8198;&#8216;When you sacrifice a fellowship offering to the Lord, sacrifice it in such a way that it will be accepted on your behalf. 6It shall be eaten on the day you sacrifice it or on the next day; anything left over until the third day must be burned up. 7If any of it is eaten on the third day, it is impure and will not be accepted. 8Whoever eats it will be held responsible because they have desecrated what is holy to the Lord; they must be cut off from their people.</div><div class="p"> 9&#8220;&#8198;&#8216;When you reap the harvest of your land, do not reap to the very edges of your field or gather the gleanings of your harvest. 10Do not go over your vineyard a second time or pick up the grapes that have fallen. Leave them for the poor and the foreigner. I am the Lord your God.</div><div class="p"> 11&#8220;&#8198;&#8216;Do not steal.</div><div class="p">&#8220;&#8198;&#8216;Do not lie.</div><div class="p">&#8220;&#8198;&#8216;Do not deceive one another.</div><div class="p"> 12&#8220;&#8198;&#8216;Do not swear falsely by my name and so profane the name of your God. I am the Lord.</div><div class="p"> 13&#8220;&#8198;&#8216;Do not defraud or rob your neighbor.</div><div class="p">&#8220;&#8198;&#8216;Do not hold back the wages of a hired worker overnight.</div><div class="p"> 14&#8220;&#8198;&#8216;Do not curse the deaf or put a stumbling block in front of the blind, but fear your God.  <div class="p">1The Lord said to Moses, &#8220;Speak to the priests, the sons of Aaron, and say to them: &#8216;A priest must not make himself ceremonially unclean for any of his people who die, 2except for a close relative, such as his mother or father, his son or daughter, his brother, 3or an unmarried sister who is dependent on him since she has no husband&#8212;for her he may make himself unclean. 4He must not make himself unclean for people related to him by marriage,#21:4 Or unclean as a leader among his people and so defile himself.</div><div class="p"> 5&#8220;&#8198;&#8216;Priests must not shave their heads or shave off the edges of their beards or cut their bodies. 6They must be holy to their God and must not profane the name of their God. Because they present the food offerings to the Lord, the food of their God, they are to be holy.</div><div class="p"> 7&#8220;&#8198;&#8216;They must not marry women defiled by prostitution or divorced from their husbands, because priests are holy to their God. 8Regard them as holy, because they offer up the food of your God. Consider them holy, because I the Lord am holy&#8212;I who make you holy.</div><div class="p"> 9&#8220;&#8198;&#8216;If a priest&#8217;s daughter defiles herself by becoming a prostitute, she disgraces her father; she must be burned in the fire.</div><div class="p"> </div>
