Day 2: Who Created It All?

Scriptures:

“Then God said, ‘I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruits with seed in it. They will be yours for food.’” – Genesis 1:29 NIV

Reflection:

When I prepare teas, remedies, or herbal mixtures, I sometimes put the pressure on myself to look up the “scientific evidence.” But Genesis 1:29 reminds me: God Himself gave us plants and fruit for our nourishment and healing.

The herbs, leaves, roots, and fruits that restore us were God’s idea from the very beginning. Scientists did not create them; they only discovered what God had already placed here for food and healing.

In the same way, the creativity you carry, the skills you use, the wisdom you walk in – none of it began with you. They are not man-made achievements; they are gifts from the Creator.

To think God needs science to “back Him up” is to forget who authored creation. He does not need validation – He is the Creator. And just as God does not rely on proof to confirm who He is, you don’t need the world’s stamp of approval to validate what He has already authored in you.

Prayer:

Thank You, God, for filling the earth with nourishment and blessings. Help me remember that every good thing comes from You. Teach me to rest in Your wisdom and to trust Your Word and Your voice.

Journal Prompt:

1. Think about creation and write down some of God’s works that leave you in awe of Him.
2. Have you ever searched for proof—whether online, in books, or in your own reasoning—before trusting God? How did it affect your faith?
3. Think about the season where you are right now. Are you putting pressure on yourself to prove something that God has already established? How can you release that pressure to Him?

Action Step:

Pause and look at something in creation – a tree, a flower, the sky, etc. Thank God for being the Creator and Provider.
