Back to the Basics 365Sample

Disciples of Jesus Christ should remember that they serve a Holy God. A defining attribute of God is His holiness, and this can be seen in Isaiah 6:3, which says, “And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.”
Holy means “sacred, set apart, pure,” and our God is the thrice-holiest God. The whole earth is full of His glory. As disciples, we are to be set apart for His glory. We should aim to be holy as He is holy because we represent Him on this Earth. Holiness is wholeness in Christ. As we will never achieve the full holiness of Jesus Christ, we should remember that in our lives, holiness is not reaching perfection; it is seeking to be led in God’s direction. We are created to bring glory to God and reflect His holiness.
