Back to the Basics 365Sample

Have you ever tried going without food for an entire day? Being hungry is a challenging experience, one that not everyone can endure. The reason being hungry is hard is that we are naturally wired (or programmed) to eat every day, often three or more times daily. When was the last time you had breakfast, lunch, and dinner all in the same day? You might be thinking, "I do that every day!"
This daily pattern of eating serves as a powerful analogy for spending time with God in His Word. In Job 23:12, Job declares that he desires God's Word more than his "necessary food." What a profound statement! Do you feast on God's Word each day? How many times a day do you do so? Is it possible to read too much of God's truth?
